At the Park

We enjoyed a fun outing over the weekend. Our nearby town's lagoon was full of fish for that day's annual fishing derby and the sun was shining and the fisher-people in our family had newly purchased fishing licenses.

So... after getting our chores done and a coat of paint on one of our outbuildings, off to the park we went.

Our daughter snapped a photo of my dear hubby and me by the lagoon.

We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.

We were so amazed to watch an osprey fly to the lagoon and circle over the water a few times and swoop down to grab a fish in its talons and fly away with it.

There were lots of geese on the water. This family's babies have their feathers and look like miniature versions of their parents.

My dear hubby and our children that fish (some, like Mama, prefer to watch) caught-and-released *so* many fish... it was a fun time for all!

Enjoying the beautiful day. Next time, I just might take a hoop or two along and take them for a spin while my tribe fishes. Or maybe I'll take my knitting. Or both! 😍

I appreciated my vantage point from my seat upon the quilt. Those trees, the sky. A lovely spot to sit and simply be.

This pair of ducks sat along the path that our tribe traveled upon while seeking the best spot along the shore. I found a quarter along the path... and then another one! {smile}

Always watching, these rather tame ducks are... just in case I might offer them a treat.

And the scent of wild roses filled the air. What a delightful accompaniment to a wonderful weekend afternoon.

Wishing you a lovely day.
